1. I AM NOT AN ARTIST. HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?

Art does not necessarily mean painting. There are many different creative ways to express yourself. Here is a list: 

• FINE ART: Painting, drawing, doodles, comic, sketch, sculpture

• PERFORMANCE ART: For dancers, martial artist, yoga or any other movement expression, you can send in a single still visual photograph/video of yourself. 

• CRAFT: flower arrangements, collage, origami, quilling, embroidery, pottery, rock painting, face/body painting, tattoo work, etc. are acceptable.

• WORD ART: Words, calligraphy, quotes are accepted as long as you provide a short description of how it is related to your present state. 

• PHOTOGRAPHY: Original compositions only. Selfies that are 'composed' to explain your reason are accepted.

• WRITTEN WORK: Poetry, rap, songs, short stories or any original writing. 

• MUSIC: Original compositions are welcome, video links of your singing.

 

2. I DO NOT HAVE A MENTAL HEALTH/DISABILITY/OTHER CONDITIONS. CAN I PARTICIPATE?

Yes, most certainly. This is open to everyone. Just type 'none' in the form.

3. HOW WILL THE PROJECT BE USING MY SONGS/MUSIC?

Songs and music that are of original pieces will be used for social media promotions. It will also be played in the background as Resh paints, so that she can feel your energy and reflect it into the collection of paintings. Credits will be given as we do for all submissions.

4. DO I NEED TO SUBMIT AN AUDIO/VIDEO FILE FOR THAT?

This is up to you. If the file size is too large to upload, you can send the link to sharedconsciousnessproject@gmail.com

5. WILL MY WORK BE USED ELSEWHERE? 

Only for the purposes of this project. As the artist, you hold all your rights otherwise.

6. WHEN IS THE DEADLINE?

Submissions are open throughout the year.

7. HOW DO I KEEP TRACK OF MY ART BEING SHARED?

Follow SHARED CONSCIOUSNESS PROJECT on social media. OTHER handles found at the bottom of this page.

8. DO I HAVE DISCLOSE MYSELF?

No. You can choose to remain anonymous if you are not comfortable in sharing your identity. Preferably use a pseudonym in the name field so that you can identify your work. This is optional only if you want. All submissions are ONLY read and maintained directly by the artist herself to protect privacy.

9. WHAT IS THE STORY SUBMISSION FOR? 

When you upload your image, you will also tell us your inspiration behind it - in 500 words max. 

Longer story submissions are an extension of your narrative of 1500 words max. This will be curated & published on VAL RESH blog.

10. I AM FINDING IT DIFFICULT TO FILL UP THE FORM. IS THERE ANOTHER WAY I CAN SUBMIT?

11. CAN I SUBMIT OLD WORK?

Yes, so long as it meets the requirement of the themes, & Terms and Conditions.

12. I WANT TO SUBMIT MORE THAN 1. BUT I HAVE NOT DECIDED ON THE OTHERS I WANT TO SHARE.

You can submit the piece that is done first and submit the other pieces later using the same form.

13. HOW IS MY IMAGE GOING TO BE USED BY THE ARTIST? WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

Imagine a large piece of canvas/cloth. On this piece, the artist (Resh) will find elements from your image of which she will sketch/paint. Your name & location will be hand painted by her next to it or anywhere else on the canvas roll depending on your choice of remaining anonymous. This process will continue as she adds elements from images others have shared with her. Thus, it won't be a copy work, a pasted transfer nor will she misuse your content. She will merely try and reflect it in her own style while combining it with those of others.

14. WILL I GET PAID FOR SUBMITTING MY WORK?

No. This is a free submission call out for people across the world to come together. Unlike most art callouts, there is a fee to participate. Shared Consciousness gives out a downloadable postcard by the artist of which you can print, with the option to be published and for your name to be added alongside countless others of which Resh will single handedly paint.

15. WILL THE WORK BE SOLD? HOW DO I BUY THEM?

Art prints of the painted works are made available, manually printed and shipped by the artist. Do note, the artist will not claim the original as hers nor sell your image. Sale of prints will support the materials and artist during this time. Booking orders of the actual canvas painting are open at Rs.8000. This guarantees a confirmed buyer at the end of the 3rd year. Individuals who sponsor 4 canvas rolls automatically get a confirmed booking spot for one free painting. This booking spot is not the final price of the painting. Final prices can only be determined and evaluated during the final exhibition. As per the individual collector's choice,

one can always choose a piece of the canvas that fits into your space and taste. Minimum price of a painting from this project is Rs.8000. Size of paintings begin from A5 to as large as 5ft x 10ft.
